Ambiance, seating, music, speed of food and service all great... I give the food 4/5 though.. appetizers better than entrees. I'm an Italian so I'm hard to please

Delicious great view . We really enjoyed our time. We will return. I'd like to try their specials. Ok more to say.... the wine was nice.

Love Jianna. It's an excellent spot for anything but especially for special events. Truly a great experience all around. The service was great, the food was awesome, I would go back every week if I could. They make some really good specials too.

The food was incredible! The server couldn't have described the food better, my plate had everything on it. A little bit of citric, and sweet on the same plate. The ambiance was great and the location was excellent, right in front of the Falls Park. Would recommend this place to everyone visiting SC.

Jianna, nestled in the heart of downtown Greenville, South Carolina, offers a modern Italian dining experience that seamlessly blends exquisite cuisine with a vibrant atmosphere. Located at 600 South Main Street, above Lululemon, the restaurant boasts a stunning view of Falls Park, enhancing the culinary delights on offer. The story of Jianna is personal, inspiring, and aspirational. Years ago, Executive Chef Michael Kramer worked for a restaurant in San Francisco called Jianna, owned by Marc Valiani, who became his culinary mentor. Sadly, Valiani passed away from ALS in 2011, but Chef Kramer remained inspired by his food and ability to design an exceptional dining experience for customers. When naming a new restaurant, Chef Kramer immediately thought of "Jianna," which he believed represented their mission in Greenville. He reached out to Valiani's widow for approval, and she kindly agreed. She jokingly mentioned that she sometimes thought of "Jianna" as her husband's mistress, as most chefs spend more time in their restaurants than at home. Upon entering Jianna, you are greeted by a cozy and well-lit dining area adorned with pastel blues and whites, creating an elegant yet inviting ambiance. The restaurant also features a mini open kitchen, allowing patrons to witness culinary arts firsthand, adding an engaging element to the dining experience. The menu at Jianna is a celebration of Italian flavors with a creative twist. The restaurant is renowned for its house-made pastas, particularly the black rigatoni with rock shrimp, perfectly seasoned with white wine, garlic, and lemon. Other notable dishes include char-grilled octopus, potato gnocchi, and a variety of freshly shucked oysters. Additionally, the menu features an array of delectable desserts, including a flourless chocolate torte and salted caramel semifreddo, catering to those with a sweet tooth. Jianna is consistently praised for its attentive, personal, professional, and polite service, and I got to experience this firsthand on my visit. The staff goes above and beyond to ensure you have a pleasant dining experience. The restaurant's second-floor location offers a light and airy space, complemented by a wraparound outdoor deck that provides a cool and relaxed setting for enjoying a meal. Said outdoor space is especially enjoyable during autumn. Furthermore, if you're lucky enough to choose the right table, you can enjoy a beautiful view of the iconic Reedy River Falls while dining. Overall, Jianna stands out as a top dining destination in Greenville. It offers a memorable culinary experience that captures the essence of modern Italian cuisine. With its commitment to using local, seasonal ingredients and its involvement in the Table 301 Restaurant Group, Jianna is a worthy dining destination for both locals and visitors alike.

The wife and I were town for the weekend and heard great things about this place. We went on a Saturday night about 6 and only seating available was at the bar. Give the seats were outside on a nice evening, who would say no? Honestly, they were the best seats in the house, above the street where we could watch below, fantastic. So, who goes to a place known for pasta and other than the gnocchi for an appetizer didn't order pasta? Yep, that would be us. I wanted to and then saw the steak on the menu and switched up. The bride had tuna that she said was "amazing and the best meal in a long time" and my steak was fantastic! Feel bad I didn't get the name of the dude at the bar that served us, be he was attentive, chatty (without being obnoxious) and quick to point out recommendations. We both would absolutely go back.

Jianna is fantastic! I've been here once a week during my visit to Greenville, and had a great meal every time. Their fresh pastas are delicious-- I really love their black rigatoni with rock shrimp. It's perfectly flavored with white wine, garlic, and lemon. I always sit at the bar, and have had great service from the friendly bartenders. The space is light and airy, as it's perched on the second floor of a downtown building. They also have a wraparound outdoor deck, with bar seating as well. It's very cool. Probably my top pick in Greenville!
